Simon Leung is a Registered Dietitian experienced in helping individuals with diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, kidney disease and obesity achieve their nutritional goals. Having worked with many clients and patients at The Ottawa Hospital and the University of Ottawa Heart Institute, Simon understands how important nutrition is in the management of acute and chronic diseases. He strongly believes that building better eating habits early, as oppose to dieting, can contribute to lifelong success in leading a healthier, active lifestyle. Simon’s nutrition services are available at the Carlingwood ActiveCare location.
We offer a service that aims to provide patients with individual hands on treatment and advice based on the latest techniques and treatments in conjunction with traditional modalities. We promote goal-setting and the patient’s active participation in their treatment. Our services combine hands on rehabilitation with patient education in conjunction with a traditional modality based treatment to ensure patients get the maximum benefit from physiotherapy. Due to the Covid19 pandemic, the clinics are operating short of staff on many days and the clinics are also experiencing a higher volume of calls than normal. Please keep in mind that most communication is being done by telephone including medical appointments. Staff are doing the best that they can to answer the phones. Please do not stay on hold for long periods of time. Patients will have more success if they hang up and retry their call. We ask for patience during this stressful time.
